Yesterday, SCEA broke the disappointing news that the upcoming downloadable content for Gran Turismo 5 wouldn’t be ready for US gamers this week. Fortunately, the DLC has only been delayed a week and will launch on October 25th.
The DLC pack will come with new tracks, cars and just about anything else you could want from a racing game add-on. Sony also promised gamers that an additional bonus would be awarded to those in the US who have had to patiently wait for this content.
According to the PS Blog, anyone who purchases the pack by November 7th will get a “unique GT Academy dynamic theme” in addition to the Honda NSX GT500 Stealth Model free of charge.
While it doesn’t quite make up for the fact that you’ve got to wait a week longer than your fellow European and Asian gamers, it does make the delay a bit easier to swallow.
