Over 20 Characters to be Playable in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
If you’re a Sega fan and adore the publisher’s cast of cutesy characters, you’ll be pleased to know that they’re cramming in as many racers as possible in their upcoming kart racer, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
There’s a total of 29 characters across all platforms, but since there will be exclusives depending on which system you buy it for, the cast is slightly different across each version. Sumo Digital’s Steve Lycett shared this news on Sega’s forums, saying:
Some platforms have characters that are unique to that platform. I’m not going to say which, that’s part of the fun of the reveals. Some are SEGA characters, some are not.
Playable choices doesn’t necessarily equal drivers either. Not as we’re talking passengers or hood ornaments, counting those would indeed be cheap, but you know this is game all about transformation, we are doing things with the vehicles that we’ve not shown you, that are going to really surprise you.
With that said, the number of vehicle types offers an astounding amount of variety. “Across all the playable vehicles, there are currently more than 90 different forms, and who said each vehicle was limited to a single driver… or indeed vehicle type per surface,” Lycett explained.
Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed will launch on November 20th.
