God of War: Ascension Doesn’t Require a Mandatory Install, Outputs up to 1080i, The Last of Us Demo Expected on April 17th

It seems as though we just can’t stop posting about God of War: Ascension today, even as our review, trophy guide, and more are already posted here on PSLS.

With this latest piece of news, Amazon has posted the back of the God of War: Ascension collector’s edition box art, revealing that the game itself doesn’t require a mandatory hard drive install, needing just 12MB instead. Not only that, you can expect HD TV output to be 480p/720p/1080i.

As for the exclusive early access The Last of Us demo that is included for free with God of War: Ascension, the back of the box says that it is expected in April 2013, and once you actually boot up Ascension itself, there will be a countdown clock that points towards an April 16 release date.

If you still have yet to pre-order God of War: Ascension, Amazon is offering a $10 credit on both the regular and collector’s editions. Also, every copy of the game (confirmed for North America so far) comes with a DLC code to download both Zeus and Isaac Clarke in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Are you glad that you’ll be able to start playing Ascension right away, and not have to wait for an install? Let us know in the comments below.
