PlayStation Vita Getting Over 100 Games in 2013, 33% of all Vita Titles Sold Are Through the PSN

There’s been a steady stream of titles announced for the PlayStation Vita recently, with many of them (Hotline Miami, The Walking Dead, Thomas Was Alone, Luftrausers, Lone Survivor) exclusive to the PlayStation Network. As it turns out, combining retail and digital numbers, there will be over 100 games headed to the PS Vita this year.

Don Mesa, Director of Product Planning and Platform Software Innovation at PlayStation and breaker of The Walking Dead on PS Vita news, told this information to IGN, where Don also said that one third of all games sold on the handheld are done through the PSN.

Thanks to a survey done by Sony, it was then noted that the Vita has an 86% satisfaction rate among its users, 90% of owners use in on a regular basis, and the average person uses their handheld 18.7 hours a week.

Since there clearly isn’t 100 games we know about right now for the Vita in 2013, Don was asked what we might see, saying that they’ve, “got some in the works that I can’t talk about right now. There are games that [Sony] Worldwide Studios guys are building that are… going to be very interesting and innovative, but to give it away too early… we’re always worried about copycats.”
