Yoru no Nai Kuni Coming to PS4, PS3, Vita (It’s Not What You’re Thinking)

Yeah, I know. When I read the name, I was all “Hell-llooooo~” and thought it might be related to Ni no Kuni, but, no, sadly it’s not the sequel many RPG fans are hoping for. That’s not to say that Yoru no Nai Kuni doesn’t have skilled developers behind it; as an RPG being made by Gust, it finds itself in the same hands that craft the Atelier series, Ar Tonelico, and others.

Yoru no Nai Kuni is an action RPG set to come to Vita, PS3, and PS4 on Aug. 27 in Japan. While no European or North American release dates have been announced, keep in mind that this announcement is brand new, and games very rarely get international confirmation right away.

The PS3 and PS4 versions are set to sell for 6,800 yen as standalone games or for 9,800 yen in a “Premium Box.” The Vita version will undercut them at 5,800 yen standalone and 8,800 premium.

You can check out Gust’s teaser site here, where you’ll find a note that the site’s full version will launch on May 18. We’ll close with a trio of screenshots:
