Final Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Making of Video Is All About The End

In the final Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Making Of video, In The End, developer Naughty Dog and members of the cast talk about what the series has meant to them, how it’s changed their lives, how the game’s success owes a lot to fan passion, and what they hope you take away from the experience.

Lead Game Designer Anthony Newman opens the video, saying, “The biggest fear that keeps me up at night is: are we really going to do this? It’s a huge game with all these new systems.”

He’s then followed by Lead Designer Ricky Cambier, Lead Visual Effects Artist Eben Cook, Lead Animator Jeremy Yates, and Lead Programmer Sandeep Shekar, who say:

“It’s not one thing that makes it hard. It’s everything. I guess it’s kind of cliche but I guess that’s kind of the fun and the challenge of it, too.”

“We don’t make it sequentially; we’re jumping around from part to part. So we don’t really know 100% what it’s going to be like until the very end.”

“And sometimes it can be a bit scary. You know, you look at the end date that’s getting closer and closer.”

“All of our fans love Drake. We don’t want to make our last Drake game and have it not be the best Uncharted game we can make.”

The rest of the video features Creative Director Neil Druckmann, Game Director Bruce Straley, actors Nolan North and Emily Rose, and many more people.
