With the cover art getting leaked earlier today through a retailer, CD Projekt Red went on Twitter and released the official cover art for The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, which you can see above.

According to the retailer leak, the physical version of Blood and Wine will include a download code for the expansion (base game required), as well as two Gwent card decks (154 cards in total) with game tokens. When asked if Blood and Wine would be getting a collector’s edition, CD Projekt Red’s Marcin Momot said, “More info will follow at the right time.”

As for the June 7 Blood and Wine release date listed by Polish gaming site GRYOnline, the Editor In Chief explained to DSOGaming that it was just an estimated placeholder date:

Unfortunately, I have bad news. The date that we set was a placeholder date, because all the official information point to Q2. The 7th of June was just an estimated date.

The way our date system is constructed, we have no option to set a more general date like Q2.

The 20-hour Blood and Wine expansion is expected in the first half of this year. Stay tuned for more details as they arrive.
