Assassin’s Creed movie’s armorer, Tim Wildgoose, has revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming Michael Fassbender starrer will feature some familiar faces from the game but they won’t be any of the main characters like Altair and Ezio. Wildgoose mentioned this while talking about designing weapons for the upcoming movie.
Although we’re designing the weapons ourselves, there are certain things you have to stick to — the way the wrist blades work. In that sense, we were going the Ubisoft reference as a design guide. At the same time, there are assassins from the games in the film as well. In some case, we could directly copy the Ubisoft weapons onto their characters.
He then went on to say that although they’re not main characters, they’re assassins that fans will be able to recognize.
There’s basically a few assassins taken straight from the games, who we get to see in the films. We actually get to use some of the real game weapons in there. They’re not main characters from the games, but they’re very famous characters that the fans will probably enjoy.
Assassin’s Creed movie is scheduled for release this December.
