Persona 5’s Morgana Trailer Details the Feline Mascot

Atlus is keeping the Persona 5 hype train going as they’ve released another trailer for the upcoming PlayStation 3 and 4 role-playing game. Today’s trailer (which is embedded above) focuses on the mascot of the Phantom Thieves, Morgana. The mysterious cat is actually from another world, and ends up helping the gang.

Here’s how Atlus describes the adorable character:

Every good team needs a mascot, and that job has been bestowed upon the anthropomorphic cat-like… thing known as Morgana. You’re probably thinking, “what are you talking about? That “thing” is obviously an adorable cat,” but we’ll have you know that Morgana (who absolutely hates being called a cat, by the way) is much more than that. This mysterious creature from another world is a professional thief and serves as a mentor figure to the disaffected youths in the Phantom Thieves. Most importantly, Morgana is the irreplaceable heart and soul of the team. Also, what other team in history has a mascot that can also TURN INTO A BUS?

Atlus also put out an interview with Morgana’s voice actor Cassandra Morris. You can check that out below:

Persona 5 is available now in Japan, and is set to release in North America on February 14 for PlayStation 3 and 4. It’s the first main entry in the Persona series since Persona 4 released in 2008 on PlayStation 2, although a number of spin-offs and ports have kept the series’ profile higher than ever before.

Let us know in the comments below if you’re looking forward to meeting Morgana in mid-February. If you’re like me and have already imported the role-playing game: how far are you?
