PlayStation Takes Over Japan With Concept Shops

Up until the release of the phenomenon that is the Nintendo Wii, Sony dominated the gaming industry, particularly in its homeland of Japan. To help regain some of the lost recognition in the land of the rising sun, Sony has opened up 2 “Concept Shops” in 2 of Japan’s largest consumer electronics retail chains.

Each of the storefronts are the real world equivalent of a PlayStation gamer’s heaven. One location is in Yamada Denki’s flagship store in the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo, the other is located at the Joshin Denki retail store in Osaka, Japan. Check out pics of the “Concept Shops” below:
