Recently, Sony sent out a batch of mysterious online LittleBigPlanet beta codes to hundreds, if not thousands of people (presumably PS3 owners). What the beta consisted of was a mystery since it didn’t work upon entering the code in the PlayStation Store. Media Molecule has now clarified why these codes were sent out.
A member from the Media Molecule team made a post on LittleBigPlanet’s Official Forumand has given a statement regarding why emails containing LittleBigPlanet beta codes were recently sent out. Username Spaff Molecule posted the following:
Hi Everyone – I’m not entirely sure what is going on here, but what it looks like is that the Sony Email system has had a bit of a hiccup and whilst sending out the codes for the US beta participants long awaited Test Vest codes, has also sent out beta invitation emails. I won’t be able to get to the bottom of this until Monday, but this is all you need to know:
THERE IS NO NEW BETA RIGHT NOW
THESE EMAILS WERE SENT IN ERROR
However, fortunately there is some good news which came out of this:
Sorry about that, dashing hopes n’ all, but at lease those test vests are finally making their way out right? And there is a certainty that we will definitely be having more beta tests in the future, so look forward to those.
LittleBigPlanet 2 perhaps?
