BioWare CEO Wants More Games on The PS3

It’s certainly no secret BioWare has been looking to extend its reach beyond the Xbox 360 and the PC, and with the company joining forces with EA back in 2008, the push to make their games available on as many platforms as possible to maximize profit has become more necessary than before to please the publishing powerhouse. Now, the company’s co-founder and CEO has nothing but praise for the PlayStation 3 and the Mass Effect creators would love to see more games (aside from Dragon Age) launch on Sony’s HD console.

Speaking with NowGamer, Ray Muzyka stated the PlayStation 3 is a unique console and the firm has relished the chance to develop on the PS3. The CEO of BioWare also said that although no future games have yet been announced for the console, he’d love to see some more arrive.

Well, you know every platform has its pros and cons and they’re all challenging in different ways. The interesting thing about approaching a new platform like PlayStation is that it’s very powerful and it’s just different from anything else. You have to embrace that and make sure that you’re fully aware of the technology differences and make use of all the strengths of the platform.

I think it’s a huge opportunity with the pricing changes, now the platform is definitely on the upswing and there are some great games coming. We’re planning to work more on it. We haven’t announced any future projects, but I’d love to see more BioWare games launch on PS3.

E3 is only a matter of weeks away, so sit tight until then as we’re sure to hear about additional Bioware projects coming to the PS3.
