PSP Getting Firmware 6.30; PlayStation Plus “Compatibility”

The much-awaited latest PlayStation 3 firmware, 3.40, finally releases tomorrow (or late tonight). Alongside the firmware update for the PS3 – which also brings Sony’s PSN service, PlayStation Plus to the console – its handheld counterpart, PSP, will also receive an update that bring PlayStation Plus “compatability.

In addition to the just detailed 3.40 firmware update, system software update (v6.30) for the PSP system will launch simultaneously with PS3 system software update and will bring “PlayStation Plus compatibility”.
