Top 5 Games That Need Trophies

Since 2009, trophy support became a mandatory feature for developers for their games. However, a few past gems still haven’t had the pleasure of receiving a trophy patch – notably exclusives – which fans would die to see happen one day. Some of these games will probably never get the patches that we oh so desire, with some  developers even stating it won’t happen. Still, we can dream, can’t we? These are the 5 games which would benefit immensely if the bronze, silver, gold and platinum trophies would ever be integrated.

Heavenly Sword. One of the first PlayStation 3 exclusives which was met by lukewarm reception and, apparently, didn’t make any profit for developers Ninja Theory. Still, there’s no denying this was one of the best titles available on the market at its time due to its excellent and engaging action-adventure style. Arguably, the game’s story was a bit on the short side so trophies could of further enhanced players’ experience of the exclusive.

Probably no other title – albeit a PlayStation 3 exclusive – would be better suited for a trophy patch than Insomniac Games’ Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Its successor, Ratchet and Clank: A Crack In Time, trophies is certainly among the most enjoyable trophies to acquire and surely it’ll be the same for Tools of Destruction.

While Modern Warfare 2’s trophies may make some sort of consolation for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare’s trophies, it’s still a game which fans and gamers alike would want to reminisce with. Around the time when trophies were officially announced for Sony’s behemoth machine, Infinity Ward made it clear that due to how the benchmark shooter was programmed, trophies could not be considered. Shame, really.

Adding trophy support to Valkyria Chronicles may very well be one of the few ways of improving the underdog PlayStation 3 exclusive. The heavily underrated may of impressed the pundits, but its sales performance unfortunately did not mirror its critical performance. The much-demanded trophy patch for the tactical-RPG would without a question boost its sales potential.

You would think that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots would of received trophy support by now. With countless fans demanding trophies it was almost inevitable to occur. Yet still we all are here. Waiting. The way Kojima’s PlayStation 3 exclusive plays would deem fit with trophies. Ways such as finishing the game on various difficulties or completing levels undetected. Hurry up, Konami.
