James Bond: Blood Stone Multiplayer Gets Detailed

When the latest James Bond title was unveiled after months of speculation, Activision stated that James Bond: Blood Stone will feature 16-player multiplayer modes which will be based around spies versus mercenaries team play. Said mode has now been detailed by the game’s developer Bizarre Creations.

Bizarre Creations unveiled details on the game’s multiplayer functionality to GamerZines. The multiplayer will be mainly focusing on team play and will feature up to 16-players which will supposedly let groups of people team up across multiple modes, including Team Deathmatch, Objective-based game types. Also, another mode similar to Quantum of Solace’s Bond Versus will see Blood Stone players hunting down the more powerful Bond player – within the mode, if one succeeds in taking him out, you’ll become Bond which consequently grants you special abilities.

Bruce Feirstein, who co-wrote the film version of Goldeneye, will be writing a brand-new script for the game, featuring Daniel Craig as the protagonist, while Joss Stone will be playing side-kick. Blood Stone will combine cover-based shooting, hand-to-hand combat and driving aspects. The console versions of the game will be developed by Bizarre Creations, who are most recently known for the ‘bizarre’ racer Blur. James Bond: Blood Stone is currently slated for a Q4 2010 release.
