Mafia II released roughly two weeks ago, with overall positive sales numbers worldwide. This left investors with smiles on their faces, especially after some reassuring words from Take-Two CEO Ben Feder at the company’s quarterly earnings call.
With strong initial sales out of the UK, Take-Two’s Ben Feder found it appropriate to state that Mafia II would indeed end up turning a profit for the company.
“Based upon the initial launch, we expect this to be another profitable title for Take-Two.”
Hot on the heels of the Grand Theft Auto series and Red Dead Redemption, it looks like Mafia II is proving to be yet another winner for Take-Two; only time will tell. The company is also currently working on the long awaited LA Noire, which is set to hit sometime in early 2011.
