Activision’s Modern Warfare 2 is the current holder for the biggest entertainment launch of all time. Now, the publisher’s CEO believes Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to take that crown upon its release.
Activision boss Bobby Kotick has told investors recent that Call of Duty: Black Ops, is likely to be the “biggest entertainment launch of all time”.
Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg further explained and backed up Kotick’s statement by stating:
“Today, pre-orders of Black Ops have already broken the industry pre-sell record set by last year’s Call of Duty. We have unprecedented levels of support both from our retail partners and from the first parties all from our vested to make this the entertainment launch of the year.”
Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to release on November 9th.
