Sam Fisher Marks March 22nd for a Trilogy Strike on PS3

Beginning in 2002, the Splinter Cell series debuted on several platforms including Sony’s PlayStation 2 and was an instant sucess. For the following eight years, four titles would release on PlayStation hardware until last year’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, which only released on the Xbox 360 and PC.Although fans were displeased with the move, Ubisoft is looking to redeem itself with an exclusive release for the PS3 this upcoming March.

The upcoming Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Collection has been set with a March 22nd, 2011 release date by Ubisoft. This will mark the first time in over four years that a Splinter Cell title has landed on a PlayStation platform.

It seems likely that the collection will include the original Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, and Chaos Theory. All three titles have experienced critical success, so this will be yet another fine addition to Sony’s impressive 2011 line-up. With HD implementation and the potential for additional content, this is one package that stealth-action fans won’t want to miss.
