Japanese Dark Souls Box Art Revealed, Rest of The World Gets Jealous

The Japanese box art for Dark Souls has crept out of the darkness and into the pale light of a knight’s camp fire. Dark Souls is the spiritual successor to the hit Demon’s Souls, a game so punishing that it is used as torture in over 15 different countries. Don’t rest just yet though, Dark Souls is set to be even tougher then the first, so we hope you have backup controllers stocked.

OK I get it, you know the game will test you, so just shut up and show the box art right? Below is the cover and we can only hope that this same art is used for the North American and European releases.

Dark Souls is set to release exclusively on the PlayStation 3 in Japan this September. It will then launch on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this October in North America and Europe. Are you ready to take on the trials that come before you?
