PlayStation 3 Firmware v3.66 Announced, Coming Soon

With the PlayStation Network back on its feet, Sony released a firmware update to force gamers to change their password. Later, Sony’s official PlayStation headset accidentally announced Firmware update 3.70, but before we get to the big .70, we’ll first have to download version 3.66.

Over on the PS Blog, Eric Lempel, Vice President of Sony Network Entertainment, announced the mandatory update, but unfortunately it doesn’t look like it will be anything special:

A new PS3 system software update, v3.66, will be released soon. With this minor update, system stability during use of PS3 format software and network services has been improved.

We’ll be sure to update you when it is live, and whether it has any new special features, so stay tuned to PlayStation LifeStyle.
