Among the PSN titles on display at E3, there was a suprise in the form of PixelJunk SideScroller. Q-Games was already at the annual industry event showing off their then-called PixelJunk lifelike (now called PixelJunk 4am), which had been teased leading up to the show. SideScroller, however, has never even mentioned before we stumbled upon it on the show floor.
Since then, there still hasn’t been much information about PixelJunk SideScroller, but a release date is already around the corner.
PixelJunk SideScroller is a classic side-scrolling shooter similar to oldies like R-Type, except it features PixelJunk‘s signature art style and uses art and assets from PixelJunk Shooter. The game will be releasing on October 25th, as part of Sony’s new “Only on PSN” initiative (we’ll have more on that in a later post).
