There’s no doubt that military shooters are still in high demand as Battlefield 3 sits proud in the number one slot on the UK sales charts two weeks in a row.
One might have thought that the latest chapter in the story-heavy tale of treasure hunter Nathan Drake would have been able to take down Electronic Arts’ super-popular shooter, but considering Uncharted 3’s exclusivity to the PlayStation 3, the multiplatform release Battlefield 3 had the leg up. As such, Naughty Dog’s latest title rests respectably in second place.
It’s also interesting to note that sales on the Uncharted franchise are up 37% when comparing the launch of Drake’s Deception to 2009’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Congrats Naughty Dog!
Here’s the full top ten list for UK sales last week:
- Battlefield 3
- Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
- FIFA 12
- Batman: Arkham City
- Just Dance 3
- Football Manager 2012
- Forza Motorsport 4
- Zumba Fitness
- Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventures
- Sonic Generations
It will be interesting to see how the release of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim shakes up this list when it launches on November 11th.
