Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition Announced

Mortal Kombat shot back into relevancy with its latest entry in 2011, to resounding critical and commercial success. With over three million units sold, and after taking home numerous Fighting Game of the Year awards, Warner Bros. has seen fit to re-release the game in a new edition as was hinted at earlier.

Dubbed the “Komplete” Edition, the new version of the game officially announced today amounts to a “Game of the Year” edition, the same kind of treatment that we are used to seeing blockbuster titles receive (for the most part). Besides the typical inclusion of all DLC released for Mortal Kombat thus far, including 15 “Klassic” skins and three “Klassic” Fatalities, the Komplete Edition will also come packed with download vouchers for the soundtrack Mortal Kombat: Songs Inspired by the Warriors, as well as a download of the 1995 film Mortal Kombat. The album was executive produced by JFK, of MSTRKRFT and Death From Above 1979 fame. No price has been given, but as soon as that is known we will let you know – who’s hoping for a discount?
