Capcom To Stream Resident Evil 15th Anniversary Celebration Live

2012 is going to be a big year for Resident Evil, with two major game releases scheduled for this year: Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City (for PS3 and Xbox 360) and Resident Evil Revelations (Nintendo 3DS). Capcom, the publisher and developer of the classic survival horror franchise, will be celebrating the series’ 15th anniversary this Friday — and they’ll be livestreaming the event.

Andriasang reports that Capcom has announced that they’ll be celebrating the series’ 15th anniversary with a party in Shibuya. The event will be livestreamed as part of the Hagitoko live broadcast series at this Ustream channel, at 19:00 on the 20th. (19:00 converts to 5:00 A.M. Eastern in the United States.)

The event also serves as a launch event for Resident Evil Revelations and will have special guests as well as members of the development staff. With a livestreamed event, there could be a possibility that Capcom could make some announcements for the series.
