If FIFA 12 hasn’t quite quenched your virtual soccer addiction, EA Sports is serving up a fresh twist on the sport with FIFA Street. Those who have been following the game should already be well aware of the fact that the title was set to launch sometime during the month of March. Fortunately, we finally have a firm release date for you, March 13th.
Contrary to what the game’s title would have you believe, FIFA Street is actually the fourth installment in the series; however, EA is treating it as a reboot. Additionally, the game is confirmed to span a total of 35 different locations and feature an entirely new set of dribble controls.
Fans of FIFA 12 will also be pleased to know that the same development team behind last year’s hit is responsible for FIFA Street. As such, the reboot abandons the over-stylized visuals seen in prior Street installments for a more realistic and authentic look.
The game will also feature an online component akin to FIFA 12, including access to the EA Sports Football Club, where gamers can socialize, track their progress on leaderboards and gain experience points.
Look for FIFA Street when it hits store shelves March 13th.
