Harmonix, the talented development team that help put music rhythm games on the map, is apparently working on a new downloadable title which will be available via PSN, Xbox Live and Facebook.
This upcoming title was spotted on game designer Brian Chan’s resume. Chan is known for his work on Rock Band 3 as senior designer and will spearhead this new project as the game’s lead designer.
Shacknews reached out to Harmonix for additional information, and here’s what they had to say:
As we’ve stated before, our studio is growing and hard at work on a variety of titles. In a storied Harmonix tradition, our designers start working on those games before they’re publicly announced. We’re excited to confirm more information soon, probably via a LinkedIn update or something – we haven’t decided.
Let’s not forget that this new game isn’t the team’s first foray into the downloadable space either. In addition to supporting the Rock Band community with new songs on a consistent basis, Harmonix released the iOS-based game VidRhythm last year.
Here’s to hoping it doesn’t require another plastic peripheral.
