If you’re a loyal reader of the site, then chances are you’ve already purchased a PlayStation 3, but if you’re looking to get one for a friend or want to pick one up for another room in the house, there’s never been a better time to jump on board, as GameStop has slashed the price $50.
If you head over to GameStop’s official website, you’ll notice that the PS3 has been discounted to $199, an amazingly affordable price when considering all that the console can do. Industry analyst Michael Pachter recently pointed out the lagging sales of the system, and the likelihood of Sony dropping the price of the console at E3. Perhaps this move by GameStop is foreshadowing an official price drop in June.
