Treyarch Unaware of Black Ops Declassified Developer “It’s Quite Literally Declassified”

Developer Treyarch, the team behind this year’s upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has no idea who is developing the Vita-centric spinoff.

Sony announced Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified at their E3 press conference earlier this month, but offered no details on the game besides a logo and 2012 release window. Not long after did retailer listings out the first few details about the game as well a first glimpse at the box art, which Activision later confirmed to be true.

Unfortunately, the team developing the game has yet to be confirmed, and it looks like we’re not the only ones Activision is keeping in the dark. In an interview with Videogamer, Treyarch boss John Rafacz said flat out “I don’t know. With regards to the Vita, all I can tell you is that it’s quite literally declassified.”

While it certainly makes for a nice pun, I believe he means “classified.” For more information on this upcoming shooter for the PlayStation Vita, be sure to keep it locked to PlayStation Lifestyle.
