LucasArts Hiring for Current and Next-Gen FPS Game

It looks like the guys over at LucasArts have more than just Star Wars 1313 up their sleeves, as recent job listing from the company indicate work on a first-person shooter for both current and next-gen platforms.

According to listings on Gamasutra for a Senior Core Engineer and Senior Animator, the studio is looking for talented individuals to work on developing a shooter that will take advantage of both current hardware in addition to the technology that the future holds.

As Senior Core Engineer, you will be the engine level specialist responsible for implementing cutting edge features and optimizations on current and Future Generation console and PC hardware. Your work is the foundation that allows our gameplay engineers and content creators to bring their game vision to life.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much else to go on, and the mind-numbing question as to whether or not it will be set in the Star Wars universe remains to be seen. With the bounty hunter centric Star 1313 on the horizon, one would expect this may be something a bit different. On top of this FPS game, the company is also working on a next-gen action/adventure title.
