GameStop Outs Alleged Assassin’s Creed 3 DLC Plans, Season Pass to be Offered

It looks like Ubisoft may have plenty content set on the back burner, as a leak from the popular video game retail chain GameStop indicates that a plethora of content for AC3 will be released post-launch, and that a season pass is to be offered to customers.

The information was leaked to Kotaku in the form of a letter that congratulated the the store for meeting their Assassin’s Creed 3 pre-order goals. It also went on to say that Ubisoft is “creating a complementary development team that will begin work on post-launch episodic content.”

And that’s not all, as the publisher also listed the aforementioned season pass as being an additional pre-order item; alluding to the high probability that it won’t be included as a bonus for pre-ordering the game or as part of the special edition package.

DLC is all the rage right now, so it should come as no surprise to hear that Ubisoft may be pushing it harder than ever before with their latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Nothings official yet, as Ubisoft has not made any announcements, so keep it locked to PlayStation LifeStyle for more info on this story and all things PlayStation.

AC3 is set to launch this October for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
