(Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced) Popular Open-World PlayStation 5 Game’s Free Update Adds New Features

A popular PlayStation 5 open-world game has introduced a free update with much-needed improvements. The recently launched title is an enhanced version of an iconic Ubisoft game from 2013.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has released its latest update 1.0.7. It brings new player customization options and a wide-ranging slate of gameplay, stability, quest, and accessibility fixes.

Black Flag Resynced is a remake of the original Black Flag game. It was launched on July 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5 alongside Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Gameplay, quest & performance improvements headline the new patch

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced free update 1.0.7 adds new customization options for protagonist Edward Kenway. Players now have the ability to hide his pistols, expanding on the previously added option to hide the blowpipe.

Additionally, the update also introduces a toggle to disable visual perk effects from Trinkets. This enables players to decrease on-screen visual clutter and customize Edward’s appearance.

There’s also a new animal rescue encounter, added somewhere in the Caribbean. Players who find and help the companion can later encounter the animal at their Hideout.

Black Flag Resynced update 1.0.7 also fixes various gameplay issues including enemy AI behavior during boarding actions, assassination and stealth bugs, wildlife behavior problems, ship spawning issues, fort progression bugs, and several quest-specific blockers. Enemy behavior and other instances of them failing to engage correctly have also been resolved.

As for stability, the update has brought crash fixes related to the Store, News panel, Kenway’s Fleet menu, and several platform-specific scenarios. In relation to accessibility, the latest update has introduced fixes for color-blind settings, menu narration, and gameplay captions.

Other notable improvements include fixes to region discovery. Now, it correctly updates after completing associated forts and 100% synchronization. The Eagle Vision enemy marking feature also works as intended when health bars are disabled.

Also, numerous issues related to visual animations and missing sound effects have also been fixed. Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced free update 1.0.7 is now live for PS5, with a size of 1.53 GB.
