A beloved PS1 PlayStation Plus game has added a challenging update for PS5 and PS4 gamers. PlayStation gamers can now replay the nostalgic retro title with a whole new set of challenge goals to chase.
The Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire game has added a trophy system. The surprise update arrives two years after the classic game first debuted on modern Sony consoles. In total, the patch introduces 18 trophies for players to unlock: 4 Bronze, 3 Silver, 10 Gold, and 1 Platinum.
Upon discovering the unexpected patch, PlayStation users expressed their excitement across gaming forums. For instance, kingofbattle8174 wrote on PSNProfiles, “This game has trophies now?? It’s been out for like three years. Time to do another run. Now that I see the list, the shooting with 80% accuracy is ok; now the flight one may be a test.”
What PS5 and PS4 players need to do for the Platinum
The Platinum trophy stands at the highest level among them all. To unlock it, PS4 and PS5 players must unlock the other 17 trophies on the list. To earn the trophies, players must complete all 15 chapters in the Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire game.
At the lowest level are the four Bronze trophies. These can be unlocked by completing chapters 1 to 4, with each chapter’s completion unlocking one Bronze trophy. Similarly, each of the three Silver trophies can be collected by completing chapters 5, 6, and 12.
Completing chapters 7 to 11 and 13 to 15 will unlock eight Gold trophies. To unlock the remaining two Gold trophies, gamers must complete special missions across various chapters. For instance, the Blast ’em challenge requires players to complete chapters 2, 11, or 12 with 80% or higher aim accuracy. On the other hand, the Ace Pilot challenge requires gamers to complete chapters 3, 7, or 10 with no flight errors.
Once all 17 Bronze, Silver, and Gold trophies are secured, the Platinum trophy will automatically pop for PS4 and PS5 players.
