An acclaimed Konami action game collection has finally arrived for PS5 on the PlayStation Store. The latest collection brings back a legendary stealth series for a new generation of players.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 is now available for PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Store. The second volume offers HD versions of classic titles Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
Guns of the Patriots was initially launched in 2008 and became an instant classic among fans. It also received wide acclaim and currently holds a spectacular Metascore of 94 out of 100 on Metacritic. As for Peace Walker, it came out in 2010 and also garnered mostly positive reactions. It holds a solid Metascore of 89 out of 100 on Metacritic.
Players purchasing Master Collection Vol. 2 also get an additional game, Metal Gear: Ghost Babel. It’s the first title for handheld consoles and was originally released in 2000.
What is all included in the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2?
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 features a Screenplay Book, with text from the respective title. There’s also a Master Book offering detailed insights into the story and characters.
There’s also the Metal Gear Solid: Digital Soundtrack Vol.2, packing multiple iconic tracks from Snake’s missions. The soundtrack can be enjoyed by using the dedicated music player within the game.
Players also get bonuses with both games included in the Master Collection Vol. 2. They receive the Gold Camouflage for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Uniform: GOLD for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
Additionally, online play is also supported, for up to 6 players, for the HD version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
MGS Master Collection Vol. 2 is now available on the PlayStation Store for $49.99. Notably, the Master Collection versions for both Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker can be purchased separately. They cost $29.99 and $19.99, respectively.
