Far Cry 3 to Deal With “Inner Conflict” and Notions of Good and Evil

As more and more media releases for Far Cry 3, the more the gaming community is beginning to believe that the main character of the game is actually the psychotic antagonist Vaas.  Game producer Dan Hay said that this Fight Club like twist will not be a part of the game, but Far Cry 3 will definitely explore the similarities of these two characters.

There’s no doubt the protagonist Jason will undergo some serious changes as he strives to survive on the island, blurring the lines between what is right and wrong, and this sense of inner turmoil will play a major role is the game’s plot, Hay explained to CVG.

When you start to look at Vaas and other characters, and you start to see similarities between them and what you’re doing, that’s when the inner conflict starts.

The conflict starts when the island has exacted its pound of flesh from you. You see it when you start getting those tattoos, which tell a bunch of stories about what you’ve seen and how you’ve played the game. And you look at them and start to see more similarities between the person or people that you hate, than the person you were at the beginning.

Look for Far Cry 3 when it launches this December for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
