AAA New IP ‘Remember Me’ Announced by Capcom‎

Capcom has announced a new IP developed by French developer DONTNOD titled Remember Me at gamescom 2012.

Originally revealed in 2011 as Adrift, the game is set in Neo-Paris 2084. You play as Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. She gets arrested, and with her memory wiped clean Nilin must now set out on a mission to rediscover her identity and why she was wiped. Nilin has a special ability called the ‘Memory Remix’  which gives her the power to change people’s memories. In Capcom’s gamescom presentation, she remixes the memories of Memoreye’s security captain, Frank Forlan. The memory is shown in a cutscense, and you can pause the clip, remix and rewind the clip, ultimately remixing an argument Frank had with his wife so that he thinks he tried to kill her.

Remember Me is the first game to be developed by DONTNOD, who consists of ex-Criterion, Ubisoft and EA staff. The game is out May 2013 on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
