Retro City Rampage has Gone Gold for PS Vita in Europe, Still ‘In Console Certification’ on PS3

While people in North America have been able to play through Brian Provinciano’s retro-themed Retro City Rampage, those in Europe have been (im)patiently waiting for the game to finally become available.

Thankfully, an update on the game’s official platform page has changed the status of the PlayStation Vita version of the game to ‘Gold’ in the EU, UK, AUS, and NZ regions. Unfortunately the PS3 version of the game is still stuck ‘In Console Certification‘, but with the PS Vita one approved, the PS3 one shouldn’t be too far behind.

Since Retro City Rampage includes Cross Buy and Cross Saves in the EU and UK, the release of both versions will probably be kept on hold so they can come out at the same time, hopefully leading Sony to expedite the approval. AUS and NZ inhabitants don’t have to worry about this though, as no PS3 copy will even be coming out there.

We’ll be sure to let you know when the game finally sees the light of day in a future entry of our PlayStation Store Global Update.
