January 2013 EU PlayStation Plus Update Will Bring Free Guardians of Middle-Earth, Cheaper Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD

Even with 12 days left in December, PlayStation Europe has given us the list of what PlayStation Plus members can expect when the calendar turns over to January 2013.

Starting with the free games, here’s what you’ll be able to download:

BioShock 2 – January 2nd

Guardians of Middle-Earth – January 2nd

Mortal Kombat – January 2nd (excludes Australia and Germany)

Gotham City Impostors – January 2nd (Australia and Germany only)

Jet Set Radio (PS Vita) – January 16th

The Pinball Arcade (PS Vita) – January 23rd

With all those new games joining the service next month, these are the ones that will be leaving to make room for them:

Batman: Arkham City – January 2nd

Bulletstorm – January 2nd

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition – January 2nd

Mortal Kombat (PS Vita) – January 16th

Knytt Undergroud – January 23rd

Big Sky Infinity – January 30th

BioShock 2 – January 30th

Moving onto PlayStation Plus-only discounts, you can expect to see Foosball 2012, Wakeboarding HD, and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD cheaper at some point in January, though specific pricing wasn’t announced.

For anyone who currently doesn’t have PlayStation Plus, or anyone who wants to extend their membership. a full 12 month subscription card has been discounted on the PSN to £29.99/€37.49, a savings of 25%. This deal will run until January 9th, 2013 and is something you should definitely take advantage of.
