Sony ad Suggests Batman: Arkham City and Limbo are Going Free on PlayStation Plus in North America

PSN maintenance was supposed to derail access to the Sony Online Store today, but it seems to be working for the most part right now, and during our browsing through it, we found an interesting ad, which we’ve placed below:

As you can see in the ad on the right, it displays current games available in the Instant Game Collection – Gravity Rush, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, LittleBigPlanet 2, inFamous 2, Vanquish – as well as two that aren’t – Limbo and Batman: Arkham City.

Just based off of this ad, which we found in the Canadian version of the Online Store (it shares an IGC with the United States), it suggests that we’ll be seeing both of those titles free on PlayStation Plus.

Of course, we have to point out that Limbo and Batman: Arkham City were free in the European Instant Game Collection a little while back, so it could be that they re-used an ad from them for some reason. Also, with Limbo coming to the PlayStation Vita this year, it would kill some sales for the handheld version by handing out the PS3 one for free.

We’ve reached out to Sony for more information on this matter and we’ll let you know if we hear anything back.

Do you think we’ll be seeing Limbo and Batman: Arkham City added to the Instant Game Collection in North America soon? Let us know in the comments below.
