Diablo III Dated for September 3rd in North America and Europe on PS3, Xbox 360

We’ll have to wait before hearing anything about the PS4 release date for Diablo III, but Blizzard announced today that the PS3 (and now Xbox 360) version of the fastest selling PC game ever will be releasing on September 3rd in North America and Europe.

In Diablo III for consoles, you can expect a dynamic camera perspective, a new interface, controls designed to fit the controllers, four player local co-op or online play, and you can make parties of both local and online players. If you’d like to pre-order the game, you’ll then receive the Infernal Helm absolutely free.

Mike Morhaime, CEO and Co-Founder of Blizzard, talked about the console version of Diablo III:

Playing Diablo III on a big screen with your friends brings a whole new level of intensity to the game, and with all of the control and interface adaptations we’ve made, it’s extremely fun to play on PS3 and Xbox 360. In addition to the finetuning we’ve done for the console versions, we’re also including major content and design updates we’ve made to the PC version over the past year, so players can expect an epic Diablo gaming experience when the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions launch in September.
