Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster to Receive a Limited Edition Upgrade for Free, According to June 26th, 2013 GameStop Ad (Update: Detailed!)

Update: Square Enix has officially confirmed the Limited Edition.

Original Story: True to form, GameStop’s weekly ad that starts on Wednesday is already available for viewing. Also true to form, it is quite disappointing, with these as the only deals listed for PlayStation:

  • The Walking Dead – $19.99
  • Defiance – $49.99
  • FIFA 13 – $39.99
  • GRID 2 – $39.99
  • 30% extra credit when trading towards NCAA Football 14, Pikmin 3, Disney Infinity, Saints Row IV, Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Madden NFL 25, Grand Theft Auto V, FIFA 14, or Battlefield 4

What’s interesting within the new GameStop flyer though, is that they have a small ad for a “Free Limited Edition Upgrade” when you pre-order the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. As of this moment, there’s been nothing announced for any sort of special edition for the Remaster, and GameStop’s product page doesn’t mention anything, but we should be hearing something soon about what we get for free (probably today or tomorrow).

We’ve reached out to Square Enix for details and we’ll let you know if we hear anything back.

What would you like to be included with the Limited Edition? Something similar to what’s seen in Kingdom Hearts? Let us know in the comments below.
