PlayStation Network Voucher Code Redemption Status Update for North America and Europe

Due to issues with the voucher code redemption process on the PlayStation Store last week, Sony made the decision to suspend that particular feature “whilst we investigate further.”

After not much of an update over the weekend (What’s New on PS4 is live in Europe), Sid Shuman said on the US PS Blog that “we should be nearly back at full capacity for redemption. Give it a try (and sorry for the trouble).” The latest update for North America on the PSN Update post then reveals how they’re getting closer to full capacity:

We are continually increasing the availability of voucher code redemption functionality. We appreciate your patience and apologize for this inconvenience.

As for Europe, SuperFastZombie, Online Support Co-ordinator for the EN PlayStation Community, posted on Twitter that “voucher redemption is still restricted atm. I will give you a shout once it’s back up fully. Keep trying in the mean time.” While they are working to “restore full functionality ASAP,” you may get an error code telling you your code is invalid or entered incorrectly, which is a standard message in this situation. So if you get that, take a break and try again in a few hours.

Have you been able to redeem any of your codes lately? Let us know in the comments below.
