Best PS4 Exclusive of 2013 Award

December 20, 2013Written by Chandler Wood

Winner: Resogun

Seeing as how the PS4 only graced us with its presence for a little over a month this year, the battle for the best PS4 exclusive was hard fought between a very limited number of launch day titles, though shining above the rest of the pack was not a AAA, big budget title, but rather a smaller PSN game – Resogun.

Resogun‘s addictive and cylindrical gameplay captured that attention of nearly every new PS4 owner. Where other exclusives offer yet another shooter or platformer experience, with little in the way of memorable assets, Resogun is there to offer players something to keep coming back to. The haunting voice echoing from the DualShock 4’s speaker telling us to save the last humans while we strive for our rightful spot on the leader boards will forever be a staple of the PS4 launch.

This is a game that will keep players coming back well into the PS4’s lifecycle. Blending classic arcade gameplay with modern capabilities, and given free on PlayStation Plus (but well worth a purchase if it wasn’t), Resogun is the PS4 launch game you shouldn’t miss and our definitive pick for the PS4 exclusive title of 2013.
