Shuhei Yoshida on PS4 Pulse Elite Headset Firmware Update: “It’s Coming, I Cannot Tell When”

Now that we’ve passed early January 2014, and are now in mid-Janaury 2014, many people are wondering where the PlayStation 4 firmware update to allow Pulse Elite headsets is, seeing as how it was supposed to arrive “just after” January 1st, 2014.

Mirroring the responses of many different people within Sony, Shuhei Yoshida offered up this reply when asked about timing for the Pulse Elite headset update on PS4:

It’s coming, I cannot tell when.

Since Sony often only tells you when a system firmware update is happening just hours before its arrival, don’t be surprised if the next PS4 firmware update shows up with little warning. Whatever the case though, we’ll let you know know more once we know more.

Of course, Shuhei talked about a few other things on Twitter, including how inFamous: Second Son will be a physical and digital release (as you could have guessed), and he said, “I hope so…” when asked about PS Vita TV coming West.

For a bit of a fun exchange between Shuhei Yoshida and Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell, Bithell brought up how he intentionally packs one less shirt when going to gaming conferences due to a shirt likely being one of the freebies. This prompted an interesting reply from Shuhei:

I once inadvertently packed one less undershirt and the last day wore a T-shirt with Wii U logo I got at the Nintendo booth.
