Borderlands 2 Getting Mad Moxxi Headhunter DLC on February 11th, Sir Hammerlock in April

It’s a bittersweet announcement for Borderlands 2, with two more DLC packs dated, but they will mark what is likely the last two pieces of DLC for Borderlands 2, which was released 17 months ago.

First up is Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre, the fourth add-on in the Headhunter series. This will cost $2.99/£2.39/€2.99 and is set to be available on February 11th in North America and February 12th in Europe. Following suit with the other Headhunter add-ons, beating the last enemy nets you a new head and skin for each character class. Gearbox notes that these heads will be more graphic, giving you an “inside look at the Vault Hunters.”

Here’s the description for Mad Moxxi, along with a preview video from IGN and Gearbox’s Josh Jeffcoat:

Mad Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre was inspired by one of our favorite holidays and is full of love and cuddles, but with a Borderlands twist. This add-on features the return of Innuendo Bot 5000 and its creator, Mad Moxxi, as they try to bring two rival clans together with the help of the Vault Hunters. They think love and understanding will bring peace to the clans, but as you know, things don’t always work out the way you’d hope on Pandora – especially when it involves the Hodunks and the Zafords.  Ellie also makes an appearance and tries to help out too, but she isn’t very keen on keeping things civil.

Fret not, though – you can at least bring joy to a couple of new robot characters in love with each other. When you first encounter these characters, you’ll have to work to bring them together because they can’t muster up the courage to confess their love on their own. During all this match-making, you’ll have to keep an eye out for Threshers, especially the ones that live in The Rainbrew Room as they may be swimming in… let’s just call it ‘the left-over distillery products’.

Because of all the Borderlands 2 DLC that’s been released, Gearbox is “pushing some technical limitations making it near impossible to add more missions, items and such.” So, the 5th and final Headhunter add-on will arrive in April and is called Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax.
