Octodad: Dadliest Catch on PS4 Now Set for April 2014, “Just got Anti-Aliasing in at 1080p”

The original plan was for Octodad: Dadliest Catch to be available on PS4 in March (it’s already out on PC), but developer Young Horses took to the Octodad Twitter account to confirm that “April is the PS4 goal. There was never a definite date, or delay.” The developers also explained the wait between versions by saying, “They have different release dates because we’re a small team and it takes time to port.”

Young Horses then added:

“Game development is much more touch and go than you might think. Things often aren’t final until rather close to their dates.”

“Basically all you need to know is this is our first ever console release and we want to do it right the first time.”

“Also, we’re really grateful for ya’ll. You’ve been nothing but awesome through all of what we’ve done so far.”

After making a note of how they were “thinking” about an Xbox One version, they said, “Considering Xbox One means we thought about it in our brains” and “PS4 is still the only console we have plans to release on. Thinking does not equal doing.”

As well, there’s no plans for a Wii U version right now and a PS3 version is “unlikely.”

Getting back to the PS4 version, touchscreen controls for Remote Play on PS Vita is being looked into and Octodad is “looking better now than it did at previous public PS4 showings. Just got anti-aliasing in at 1080p.”

And here’s this because why not:
