Call of Duty Elite Shutting Down on February 28th, 2014

As of February 28th, 2014 at around 10AM PT, Call of Duty Elite will be shut down for good, with “no plans” to bring it back.

In the Call of Duty Elite Shutdown FAQ, Activision says, “Call of Duty Elite was designed to work with prior Call of Duty games and has begun winding down support for those titles since late last year.” If you haven’t done so already, Activision encourages you to download the Call of Duty App for Call of Duty: Ghosts, “which allows players to customize their multiplayer character and weapons loadouts on the go, keep track of their Call of Duty: Ghosts stats, and features Call of Duty Clan Wars, where players can compete for cool, exclusive in-game gear.”

For anyone who has logged into Call of Duty Elite since January 1st, 2014, you will be given two hours of Double XP in Call of Duty: Ghosts, which will show up in your Ghosts profile soon.
