In a press release sent today, 2K Games has announced the release date for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, the next standalone game in the Borderlands franchise, as well as unveil a new trailer titled “Moon Dance.”
Make sure to give the trailer a watch since it’s one crazy montage of shooting, monsters and psychedelic dance music. Developed by 2K Australia, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be out this October 14 for the PlayStation 3 in North America, and in October 17 in other markets.
Those not familiar with the latest entry, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2, and brings the action to Pandora’s Moon for the first time. According to the presser, “Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel offers gravity-bending gameplay with oxygen-propelled jetpacks, as well as new weapons, enemies, vehicles, and moon environments. Playing as four all-new character classes with unique skill trees, gamers will contribute to the rise of Handsome Jack and experience his origin story as he transforms into the megalomaniacal tyrant fans loved to hate in Borderlands 2.”
