Defunct Developer and Publisher Sierra Returns With Two New Games (Update)

Update:

Sierra has confirmed to PlayStation LifeStyle that Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions will be coming to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Original story:

Defunct publisher Sierra Entertainment (formerly Sierra On-Line) has officially been resurrected, and the company has announced two new games. Geometry Wars 3 and a new game in the King’s Quest series are currently in development, but platforms have not been disclosed yet.

Geometry Wars 3 is being developed by Liverpool-based studio, Lucid Games, and will feature a single-player campaign that has 50 challenges and 10 unique missions.

The new King’s Quest game will come in 2015, and is currently in development at The Odd Gentlemen studio. Apparently, the title will be a “reimagined” take on the original series.

Sierra’s Director of External Development said:

Sierra’s goal is to find and work with gifted up-and-coming indie developers working on their own amazing projects or who are passionate about working on great Sierra IP. We’re in talks with a large number of other indie devs, and we can’t wait to share more details with fans in the near future.
