FIFA 15 Demo Played Over 5.5 Million Times, PS3 Ultimate Team Packs Code Issue Addressed (Update)

Update:

Sony says the PS3 codes will work now.

Original Story:

With FIFA 15 launching today in North America and later this week in Europe, EA Sports announced that over 5.5 million people played the demo on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC, making it the most played demo in EA Sports history.

David Rutter, VP and GM of the FIFA franchise, talked about this latest entry:

We believe we have built a game in FIFA 15 that delivers the most immersive and responsive gameplay experience ever in the FIFA franchise, and we can’t wait for the millions of fans to start their season and experience all of the innovations.

For those of you in North America who have purchased FIFA 15 on PS3, PlayStation Support sent out this alert:

To redeem the codes for Ultimate Team Packs that are included with both the Standard and Ultimate Editions of FIFA 15 for PlayStation 3, please wait until the PlayStation Store is updated on 9/23/14.

The PlayStation Store is generally fully updated by 2pm PST/5pm EST, so you’ll only have to wait a few hours more.

FIFA 15 is available for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC, with the Wii, 3DS, and PlayStation Vita also seeing the game, but as EA puts it, “Not all game features are available on all gaming platforms.”

Will you be buying FIFA 15 this week?
