Fallout: Shadow of Boston Trademark Application is a Hoax, Bethesda Confirms

Although it was reported by numerous news sites that Bethesda had filed a trademark application for Fallout: Shadow of Boston in Germany, Bethesda has taken to Twitter to say that the news is fake.

The confusion came from an assumed official trademark application document that was filed with the German government. The document classifies Fallout: Shadow of Boston as “computer game discs; Downloadable computer game programs; Computer games program downloaded via the internet.”

This is not the first time Fallout 4 information has turned out to be a hoax. Last year, the assumedly official Fallout 4 website TheSurvivor2299.com was confirmed to be fake, disappointing fans of the games. This latest disappoint begs the questions – is there a Fallout 4 game in the works? If so, why hasn’t Bethesda said anything about it yet? Let us know what you think in the comments.
